Open the Developer API page while signed in.

Enter a name that identifies the device or integration that will use the key, then select Create API key.

You can have up to 5 active API keys at a time.

The full API key is displayed only once. Copy it immediately and store it securely.

Code Card does not store the readable secret. It stores a one-way SHA-256 digest, so a lost key cannot be displayed again. If you lose a key, revoke it and create a new one.

Never place an API key in:

  • public JavaScript

  • a source repository

  • screenshots

  • support tickets

  • published Code Cards

API keys can be revoked at any time. Requests using a revoked key stop working immediately.

The API currently supports reading published, unrestricted Code Cards and viewing API usage.

The free API plan currently includes 1,000 requests per calendar month and up to 30 requests per minute.
